Born in 1977, this contemporary French artist has been painting since the age of 12.

Laetitia Riou is an artist commited to Peace in a visionary and assumed artwork, which she makes shine from Paris to New-York.

She is notably the youngest award winner in the world, of the french distinction "French Merit and Devotion", she received in the French Senate in 2007.

An uncategorized artist whose artwork is audacious, innovative and unique on the artistic scene.

The label of Laetitia Riou, it’s a reinvented style of the Counterculture, marginal ideologies of American Rock and Graffiti of the 1960s and 1970s, in a nonconformist painting, contrasting with galvanized aluminum frame, fixed with large bolts.

Her workmanship flirt with the Pop Art, but slended in a free dance in a perpetual motion, spartling with strong colors.

Her simplified line, could suggest the American Free Figuration, but there again, her line becomes a writing, at the same time, fast and sure, graceful and naive, that can be found in her sculptures.

A continuous narrative in the Symbolism, with a philosophical and poetic dimension, giving a lot of emotion to her artwork and making her artwork, universal. Deeply humanist, Laetitia straight denounces the racism, beaten women, oppressed peoples, wars, in few words, she defends the integrity of humans, with only the non-violent gun, "The Painting".

Her paintings are accompanied by uncompromising writings, with Surrealist connotations. Always in her own style, Laetitia appropriates writings herself, as she does with painting.

To support her message of Peace, she created a logo, that she directly integrates into her paintings, making her artwork an audacious advertising support for Peace.
